VEGAN POLENTA

PREP TIME – 5 minutes

COOK TIME – 2 minutes

TOTAL TIME – 12 minutes

INGREDIENTS FOR THIS RECIPE

    • Water – 4 cups
    • Sea salt – 3/4 teaspoons
    • Corn polenta – 1 cup (160g)
    • Vegan butter – 2-3 Table spoons

    • Saucepan

TIME TO COOK - POLENTA

Step 1 – Add water to a saucepan and boil.

Step 2 – When the water boiling, add salt then turn heat to medium.

Step 3 – Slowly add polenta while whisking. This may take 1 – 2 minutes to add all polenta into the saucepan.

You have to maintain no lumps in your cooked polenta. You can maintain this by whisking the mixture.

Step 4 – Whisk the mixture until it starts to thicker. (This may require 2 – 3 minutes).

Step 5 – Turn the heat down and cover the Saucepan

Step 6 – Cook this for 30 minutes, while whisking the mixture every 5 minutes.

TIPS

If you want your polenta slightly thicker, let it cook for another 10 minutes.
